As a Registered Dietitian, Summer Williams works to develop individualized nutrition plans to help clients achieve their specific and unique goals.

After I had a bad accident a couple of years ago, I ended up in a wheelchair.  Prior to my accident, I was fanatic about working out on a regular basis, so I was very eager to get back to doing it.  I knew my work’s gym would be a great gym for me to use, but I had no idea how I’d learn about the proper ways for me to lift weights, in my new condition!  As I couldn’t teach myself these things, I began asking other employees as to which trainer they were using or would recommend.  So many people spoke highly of Summer, so I quickly sought her out in the gym. 

 

Before we had our first session together, Summer, being an amazing trainer and perfectionist, had a long call with my Rehab Physical Therapist.  Summer was determined to not only have me lift weights but wanted to make sure she was working out my upper body in the proper way for a paraplegic.  In my first session with Summer, I was completely impressed by the great information Summer had received from my Rehab PR.  Not only did she incorporate much of it in her explanations of the exercises she had me do, but it was used in the thought process Summer used to create an amazing variety of exercises to correctly strengthen my back, shoulders, arms, and abs.

 

In my weekly sessions with Summer, she’d never ceased to amaze me with the different types of exercises she’d have me do, to strengthen my upper body. Week after week, not only was I extremely impressed by the meticulous way she had my entire workout planned out in advance but she used so much thought and insight to create wonderful exercises for me to do while helping me out tremendously.

I “found” Summer a little over a year ago and have been working with her twice a week, every week, since then. When we started working together I had a couple of injuries that limited my mobility quite a bit. But thanks to Summer’s skill and conscientiousness, she was able to design always-fresh workouts that carefully considered my injuries but were still challenging.

13 months later, I am now much stronger, and much leaner, which has surprisingly helped my injuries heal to the point where I am now able to do more well-rounded workouts. This is thanks to not only our physical workouts but our nutritional coaching sessions, as well.
